After living for 7 summers in a tent by the river in California, the back of a car in the Rockies and on the plains of the Serengeti, one pares down necessity.  Everything fits in a car and moves with you.  You own a bowl, a fork, a knife and tell your friends to bring their own utensils.  Home is wherever you are and wherever you go.

Eventually you have to grow up to more permanence.  But life down by the river is always still there and within.

A year and change into a graduate program in architecture and I have to design something that WILL be built.  This will be my home that travels with me wherever I take it.  It will be my home by the river, my home in the mountains.  All in 60 square feet.
